HKK Launches Duck & Champagne Lunch

The Hakkasan Group has forever improved our weekends by announcing the launch of their Duck and Champagne lunch at HKK. Ducks – the underrated birds – have given us many things over the years from entertainment on country walks to influential characters (i.e. Scrooge McDuck) and now they’re serving another more delicious purpose. It’s with very sad news that we have to tell you that Phileas Fogg’s auntie, actress Gertrude Fogg has passed away. Let’s all take a moment to reflect on what a great actress she was, albeit fictional. Now that we have shown our respect, let’s move on to some happier news, having returned from his worldly adventures, Phileas has discovered that he is the sole beneficiary of his aunt and has inherited her property on St Martin’s Lane. Arbutus Opens New Bar

Today sees the launch of Michelin-starred restaurant Arbutus’ new bar – the cheekily titled Les Couilles du Chien – if you don’t know your French then Google it. Leather topped hairpin stools will stand at the polished white stone bar which will stretch across the length of the bar. French Gray walls will be adorned with Keith Coventry artwork and a red neon sign of the bar’s name will rest against Dutch tile-patterned wallpaper.
