Brew Review

From the outside you might mistake Brew for a high end Starbucks, where one quickly dashes in for a coffee and sandwich and then continues your journey, but this would be a shame for Brew is so much more. Brew is a chain of cafés serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with locations in Wimbledon, Battersea and more recently, Wandsworth. The more travelled amongst you may have even seen them in Melbourne, San Francisco and LA – this Brew gets around. With Brew you can banish the thought of lowly cereal for breakfast with their much more appealing options of Blueberry […]

Vegan Afternoon Tea Review

If there is one thing London does well it’s an afternoon tea, seeing as England is the creator of the mid-afternoon pick me up, we certainly should be. But after over 150 years of enjoying them, creative types have started trying to re-invent them. We’ve seen Mad Hatter themes, Chelsea Flower themes, Halloween, Musical, Christmas, even an Asian afternoon tea! What we haven’t heard of is a vegan afternoon tea, until now that is. The newly launched restaurant "RAW" at La Suite West offers a new health focused option when it comes to dining which has recently extended its menu […]

Bentley’s Review

Bentley’s, on Swallow Street, is situated in a historic Victorian building on the borders of Soho and Mayfair. The restaurant came to life in 2005, when it was taken over by talented chef and restaurateur Richard Corrigan. He refurbished the venue to its former glory, making the building one of the oldest and most prestigious seafood restaurants in London today. Their passion and skill for seafood is clear as soon as you taste the food; our favourite was the Bentley Lobster which was full of flavour and a definite recommendation. A close second were the delicious oysters, but if you […]

Radio Rooftop Bar: Review

The Radio Rooftop Bar at ME London, I’ve heard so much about it, recommended it to friends when they’ve asked for places to go and raved about it to others. I’ve just never quite made it there. So with the sun shining and thinking it would be the perfect time to experience the roof-top bar and see London in all its glory, I booked a table and then what happened? It rained. Did that deter us?  Of course it didn’t – we are true Brits after all, nor did it deter the rest of London since the bar was packed […]

Paradise Review

It is rarely that you come across a restaurant that delivers whole-heartedly, but luckily for us Paradise by way of Kensal Green is one of those places. From charming and friendly staff to delicious good and varied and creative cocktails, Paradise is a real winner, heck even the décor had us impressed with its shabby, chic design. After having perused many, many a menu seeing a Cherry and Nectarine Salad as a starter was an unexpected surprise which impelled us to try it. It stood its ground as an enjoyable dish with perfectly ripened fruit, baby spinach, peanuts and an […]

The Wellesley: Review

The Wellesley is relatively new in terms of London hotels, when many have been opened for over a hundred years, The Wellesley has only been opened since the end of 2012 and yet already it is known as one of the most decadent boutique hotels. The décor is inspired by the 1920s townhouse that it is situated in, with a modern twist on  the art deco movement, it is very sumptumous and none more so than in The Oval restaurant.  Having heard that there was a new excutive chef, Michele del Monaco, at the restaurant we grabbed our bags and […]
