Here are five thrilling immersive experiences that you need to check out to inject a bit of excitement into the humdrum of every day.
Championing the golden age of travel when people took train journeys for pleasure, fares probably weren’t so hideous you need to try and get your hands on a rare railcard and they served more than just lukewarm tea and chocolate, The Murdér Express is an immersive experience which will transport you back to the 19th century. Visit the Seven Sins Bar as your luggage is packed for a pre-trip cocktails and then get ready to board the elegant dining car on The Murdér Express. As you sit down to a four-course menu designed by MasterChef 2016 winner Jane Devonshire, you can watch the countryside fly past and meet characters such as wheeler dealer, Frank an East End Costermonger, Tilly a musical hall star, Judy who is finally going on a train and a lovestruck waiter. When it comes to immersive cinema, there’s one group that’s leading the way: Secret Cinema, the production team that take iconic films and brings them to life through spectacular experiences and they’ve just announced their next film: Casino Royale. Following on from their biggest show yet, which saw London transformed into LA for Romeo + Juliet, the team will be taking on the classic (and one of the most successful) British film franchises and recreating the world of the smooth-talking charmer, the legendary spy James Bond. Created by series creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, in collaboration with renowned escape room pioneers, Time Run, this immersive experience will see you exploring some of the series most iconic sets as you go about your agent training. With original content from Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Mark Gatiss and Andrew Scott, this experience will test your powers of deduction, your ability to work in a team and to examine all evidence.

This immersive thriller will see you transported to 2024, where juries have been done away with and trials now happen on live television where those who buy tickets get to decide if someone is guilty or not. Examine the crime scene, hear from the killer himself and then enter the court ready to give your verdict. A must for anyone who thinks they can solve a case.

Here’s the deal, for some reason or other you and your crew are in a prison van headed straight for Pentonville. Your luck has run out. You were caught and found guilty. The problem is you don’t really fancy a life behind bars. Jumpsuits aren’t your thing. All you have to do is, stop the van, escape the van and then retire in the Bahamas. Simple. Except you can’t use brute force this time to get your way, this time you need to use your brain.
