Yep, on Hallow’s Eve, La Maison Gothique event will see the award-winning bar donning some serious ghost and ghoul spirit in the form of performances from seasoned showmen and cabaret stars, alongside cocktails with flavours sumptuous enough to scare your senses into submission. Rake's Cafe Bar

Bedlam Hospital

So it seems Rake’s Café Bar takes home the Halloween authenticity prize this year, seeing as not only are they hosting a Mad House Extravaganza but because they’re literally situated at the original site of Bedlam Hospital. If that’s not spooky, we’re not sure what is… The event will see live performances in action, provided by London’s entertainment producers Gersch and Rox Presents, DJ’s and a tonne of debauchery, cocktails and if you like clowns (who actually does?!) there will be a clowning contortionist on hand you  help scare you sh*tless. If that doesn’t do the trick though there’s a lovely eerie child-like doll milling about and a latex clad black balloon performer.

Circus

Descend into Darkness

Circus is putting a Halloween sheen on its interior as it descends into darkness with Circus Halloween Madness. Circus will be joining forces with Verve Clicquot for the shenanigans, with evening host Miss Polly Rae who will seduce guests with various dark and dazzling feats. Hearing this, if you then dare to purchase a dinner ticket, you’ll enjoy a four course feasting menu, a glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label (yum), and an outlandish evening of entertainment.

Skylight

Carve Out A Date In The Diary

Halloween seems to be taking a bit of a Christmas approach this year, running over (way) more than one day, and we’re certainly not completely, that would be ghoulish! Skylight will be whipping up fun in the form of a two-day Halloween party, with Friday’s focus being on 90s Club Classics and Saturday’s on Deep House Disco. DJs will include JakJax, Joaz, Because of Art, Freddie Ried and Alex Glover, with beats that will have ghouls stirring in their graves. There will also be seasonal cocktails on hand (of course clad with Halloween-related names); Black Autumn Widow with aqua riva blanco tequila, lime juice, St-Germain, basil leaves, blackberries, agave syrup, I’ll be giving you a try. Oh, and Halloween attire is a must-wear!

The Piano Works West End

The Show (Literally) Goes On

Who said Halloween always has to be absolutely terrifying? It only took Mean Girls to see that sometimes Halloween can be a rather sexy affair, and Studio 88 are proven examples. As part of their series of partying with West End stars post-theatre, Studio 88 will be doing a Rocky Horror Inso special, where guests can arrive in full-blown fancy dress to enjoy a series of live performances from a ghoulishly good star-studded line up of West End stars.

The Piano Works West End

Dead Ringer Singer

The Piano Works and Studio 88 will be chiming out songs you thought were long, long, long gone (Crazy Frog and Rebecca Black’s Friday, we’re talking to you), for their Dead Ringer Singer Halloween event. Whether it’s 70s killer queen, 80s dead or alive or 90s Radiohead creep that sends shivers up your spine, they’ll be coming back to haunt you in no time as you party with freakish face painting and live music galore. On Saturday the 27th of October

If this isn’t enough however, and you’re ready to delve in for some more…like we do with Christmas dinner days after it’s been and gone, then Saturday the 3rd of November will see the happenings of The House of Horror Songs event, (where again fancy dress is encouraged).

Spooky Swinging

If your knees can handle it, get them up for an evening of Spooky Swing Dancing at Cahoots. The roof-raising event will see guests dressing up as their favourite 1940s icons in the groovy, yet haunted underground. For a chance to whack out those Strictly moves, the evening events will begin with dance lessons hosted by Swing Dance UK, then from 7pm the doors will swing on open for all to come in and enjoy. On the DJ-set will be Auntie Maureen, we’re still not too sure whose auntie she is, but as long as she’s playing some good tunes we’ll let her off. Special Belvedere ‘Espresso yourself on the dance floor’ Martinis will also be on offer throughout the evening to keep energy levels up.

Smoke & Salt

It's a dead man's party, who could ask for more?

As Oingo Boingo said in 1985, ‘It’s a dead man’s party, who could ask for more?’ and paying homage to this will be Smoke & Salt, whose Dead Man’s Halloween Party will see POP Brixton turned into a horrific (but in a good way) culinary house. Guests will sink their fangs into a welcome drink courtesy of Strongman’s Tipple, followed by a six course tasting menu that features bloody good dishes like Bloody Beet Tartare, Cod Head Taco and Witches Brew.

Renowned for table tennis, you can now bat the ball donned in your favourite chilling outfit, with UV face painters to keep you glowing and alcoholic blood bags to keep the drinks flowing. The evenings will include gory games, a thriller werewolf in attendance (hopefully not literally?), a selfie mirror to capture the magic, and DJs playing all of the best ‘haunted’ house tunes you need. Don’t be a stranger…

The party will take place on the 27th of October at the Farringdon venue, and the 31st of October at Old Street.

Barts

If you’re one of those people that runs about your apartment checking every nook and crannie before bed for something resembling a clown, a ghost, or a ghoul (or whatever your imagination conjures up), then how about a real life haunted apartment to while away the hours in? Barts in Chelsea are hosting The Haunted Apartment on the 31st of October and the 1st of November, as the renowned speakeasy turns into somewhat of a “spookeasy” instead! Guests can don their best (and most scary) outfit, and enjoy a selection of drinks using Grey Goose and Chambord, alongside terrifying tunes as an accompaniment. If you’ve not managed to rush to the Halloween costume shop in time, there will be a fancy dress box on hand for you to reach into…if you dare!

Maggie's Club

It's A Bloody Long Week

We can totally relate to the name of the event, taking place at Maggie’s this Halloween. Yep, that’s right It’s a Bloody Long Week is what most of us utter at our work desks as we pack up our work desks and shut down our e-mails on a Friday night, but it’s also a mega mashup of all the best 80s horror films at the 80s-inspired Chelsea night club. Spooky films will includeAmerican Werewolf in London, Gremlins, and of course, much-loved on Netflix, Stranger Things.

From the 25th of October until the 31st. 10:30pm-1:00am Tuesday, 10:30pm-1:00am Wednesday, 10:30pm-1:00am Thursday.

Swingers

A Real Swingers Spooker

Swingers have got their golf clubs at the ready for some serious hole in one Halloween fun. Guests daring enough to take on the party (and the Swingers renowned windmill), will make their way through cobwebs galore before being greeted by undead hosts (if they’re undead hosts, what does that make us?!). And, if Swingers’ courses weren’t tricky enough, there will now be caddies dressed as zombies, witches and demons roaming about the place. So get a hole in one and you’re in for a treat. If you don’t? Well, that’s at your own peril! A “spooktacular” cocktail will also be on hand in the form of a PumpGin Martini (we see what you did there Swingers). The mix will include Tanqueray No. Ten, Antica Formula, Mozart Pumpkin Spice liqueur, lemon and Maraschino Cherry Syrup. Sounds scarily moreish if you ask us!

On Wednesday the 31st October – Saturday the 3rd of November at Swingers City and Swingers West End.
