What we know: This summer Rupert Street, Soho, will welcome a new eating option, straight out of the mercados of Peru. Butifarra, named after the popular Peruvian street snack (a bread roll with slow-cooked meat and salsa), will serve authentic sandwiches and ceviche alongside 'Cevushi', a ceviche-sushi hybrid.

Bloomsbury Club Bar

Camino Bankside’s Gin Garden

Blandford Comptoir

What we know: Wine expert Xavier Rousset is opening a Mediterranean restaurant in Marylebone. Just 40-covers, the intimate and informal space will also have room at the bar for 14 people. 250 wines and 50 Champagnes will be available for tasting at monthly sessions hosted by Xavier. The menu will include small and large plates designed for sharing, split into meat, fish, vegetable and raw.

The Dog House

What we know: Bernardi’s has opened The Dog House, a new basement bar situated underneath the highly-acclaimed Marylebone restaurant.  The cocktail bar will have a playful, relaxed look and feel, decorated in a rich colour palette of dark greys and blues to contrast with the light and airy feel of the upstairs restaurant. Accessed either via the restaurant or a separate entrance on Seymour Place, the space will feature banquette seating around the walls, and a number of smaller, more intimate tables, as well as stools at the bar.
