BIG NEWS: Richard Corrigan Is Opening A New Restaurant

We simply adore Corrigan’s Mayfair. Think quintessential British and Irish cuisine fused with seasonal produce and chef Richard’s culinary prowess, so good in fact that we return time and time again to catch a taste of that Irish charm. Richard Corrigan is famed for his stalwart eateries, loved by many, which include Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill and the previously mentioned Corrigan’s Mayfair. Set to open in September, his new venture will sit just off buzzy Old Street and, we’re told, will venture deeper into seasonal influences with a a direct connection to the chef’s farm at Virginia Park Lodge […]

Leicester Square’s First Rooftop Terrace

Leicester Square is renowned for oozing Britishness, a place cemented in our culture as rather a hot-spot for the odd bit of celeb-spotting, coupled with the occasional fan-screaming premiere. In fact, as a Londoner I still feel entirely out of my depth after a leisurely Leicester square loiter, what with its booming crowds and grandiose nature. Suffice to say, Hotel Indigo at 1 Leicester Square is quite the staple and most certainly a place-to-go, even more so now it’s got a whopping new rooftop terrace. As the only rooftop terrace in Leicester Square, it most provide the best film premiere […]

As far as dream team goals go, Ivan Tisdall-Downes and Imogen Davis are proving they are worth a punt for, if this were a competition. This month, they open Native in London Bridge after the Neal’s Yard relocation and as far as names go, it seems the dynamic duo are native to the culinary scene themselves. The concept of the restaurant centres around fresh, foraged, seasonal food presented on plates that yell leafy green woods and button mushrooms oh and, can we get some of these for our house?! We’re lusting over Native, not only for their great food but because […]

Boxcar’s Back with a Bakery in Marylebone

Boxcar is like that friendly neighbour that takes your parcels when you’re out and invites you round for a cuppa. Reliable, part of the neighbourhood and not going anywhere fast. That’s why we’re so glad Boxcar Butcher and Grill was a success, because it means we now get to experience the goods of their new baker and deli opening in Marylebone. Tomorrow, Boxcar’s Baker Store and Deli will throw its doors open to reveal goodies galore. Again, playing to that cosy neighbourhood vibe there will be homemade goods that you’ll not only know, but love (we’re sure). As well as […]

The World’s Largest Collection of Tea is Coming to Covent Garden

There’s no doubt about it, a cup of tea really does make everything better. It sits on our work desks pushing us through e-mails, lands in the hands of strangers as we meet for the first time, perches on the lips of friends as we catch up, goes hand-in-hand with our morning cereal bowls and rests on our bed side table with a good book. With all this tea drinking, it’s no surprise we’re super excited for purveyor of tea, Mariage Frères – and also France’s oldest tea house – to bring tea savoir-faire to the capital and open its first […]
