100 Wardour St Opens – 50% Off

You might have noticed on The Handbook that we’re trying to make January a better month for everyone with January offers, healthy brunches and indulgent afternoon teas. Well now we have two pieces of good news. At the end of the month 100 Wardour St is opening and you guys get a rather nice 50% off on a la carte dining in the Lounge and Club from the 21st – 27th January. Don’t say we aren’t good to you.

Once the site of the Marquee Club where The Rolling Stones performed as well as the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Jimi Hendrix. 100 Wardour St comes from restaurant group D & D and takes over from restaurants Flordita and Carom.

Split over two floors the ground floor will be home to the Lounge offering all day dining. Executive Chef Liam Smith –Laing (formerly La Petite Maison) is serving up a Mediterranean menu which focuses on simplicity and quality and will make use of both the Robata grill and Josper Oven. On the breakfast menu expect to find the likes of homemade quinoa granola and gluten free pancakes with yoghurt and blueberries. At lunch time there’ll be pastas, flatbreads and sandwiches as well as super-loaded favourites including cauliflower tabbouleh, golden raisins and bee pollen; seabass ceviche, pickled cucumber with Granny Smith and quinoa salad, dried cranberries and hazelnuts as well as more comforting dishes such as crispy pork belly, salsa verde and grilled endive.  Designed by Russell Sage Studios, the Lounge is sophisticated yet relaxed; it’s eclectic, colourful and features its own semi private ‘Billiards Room’ with a pool table that neatly converts into a dining table.

Downstairs will be home to the Club; a restaurant and bar that will open at 5pm and serve food right up until 2am, making it ideal post theatre or post drinks and means you won’t have to resort to a sandwich as the supermarket shuts its doors. With a more luxurious menu you’ll find the likes of grilled queen scallops with chorizo breadcrumbs; whole shoulder of suckling pig and black truffle linguine. Matching its menu the interior will be more glamorous with space to drink, dance and eat until the early hours – in fact it’s pretty huge with 425 covers for dining and up to 870 for events.

The club though won’t just be about food, oh no,  it’ll be paying homage to its history and Soho’s links with diversity, creativity and talent and will be hosting live performances from established acts, up and coming talent and special guest DJs Tuesday to Saturday.
