Did you know that there are over 1500 different types of authorised table tennis racquet covers* No you probably didn’t and you call yourself a ping pong fan. Jeez. You’re probably the sort of person who likes to play ping pong whilst drinking cocktails and eating pizza aren’t you? Good, so are we.
Well we have some good news for a Friday because Monday sees the launch of the second Bounce. Yep the Bounce in Farringdon has proved so popular, that they are now opening in Shoreditch. They’re taking up residence in an old car park, so they’re giving a nod to its roots with a graffiti and UV design by Russell Sage.
Inside you’ll find 17 ping pong tables, so you can settle that argument at work with a table tennis match, or flirt with a handsome stranger whilst showing off your skills. They’ll be serving up pizzas and cocktails all night to keep you energised and limber for throwing some serious shapes and tackling those tricky manoeuvres. It is an Olympic sport after all.
If you want to host your own party then you’ll want to book the Play Room, a private room with its own bar and three tables, it’s designed by Sean Slaney from New York, don’t you know?
Pizza, ping pong and partying – what more do you need?
*Apparently… we would count them for you…but you know our time and sanity are in question.
Bounce Shoreditch: Opens 5th October, 239-241 Old Street, EC1V 9EY, www.bouncepingpong.com

A bit of a cake connoisseur, Editor, Emily is constantly on the search for the best brownie London has to offer, a restaurant once even put them on the menu when they heard she was visiting… You’ll either find her on a night out or debriefing over brunch the next day with plenty of coffee and eggs.
