2nd Four Hundred Rabbits Opens

Listen up pizza fans, there’s a new pizza joint coming to Nunhead this summer and they’ve got everything you need mainly beer, pizza and ice cream – so we aren’t complaining.

You might remember when we told you about Four Hundred Rabbits opening in Crystal Palace well now the team are back and they heading to SE15. They certainly know a thing or two about how to make great pizza. It all begins with a sourdough starter made from British rye flour which they used to ferment their dough for 48 hours and then use strong white flour from the Cotswolds. It’s then cooked at 400 degrees in a wood fired oven and topped with the best tinned tomatoes – San Marzano DOP, fior di latte and the best British ingredients including dry aged rare breed beef and charcuterie from Cannon & Cannon who are ambassadors for using meat from ethically and sustainably reared animals.

Then they have pizza’s pal, beer – they’ll have twelve beers on rotation each week: four cans, four chilled bottles and four draught beers served in three-quarter pint schooners. To finish they’ll be the gelato from the guys over at Gelupo, which will change seasonally.

Designed by Junction Studios and Richardson Studios, the Four Hundred Rabbits in Crystal Palace has won a handful of awards for its Aztec inspired design and the same team will be behind the look of the Nunhead restaurant so expect the same vibrant colours and graphics.

Pizza, beer, ice cream – can’t go wrong there.
