Camden Market is one of the most happening places, and a brief wander can lead you straight into a life size E.T. at Stables Market, into a Cereal Killer Café or into someone wandering around sipping from a giant coconut. In other words, you never know what to expect, but that’s what keeps it fresh and keeps you on your toes.
Following on from the theme of the eclectic is the opening of Camden Market’s FEST roof terrace, as part of a new entertainment experience that will be open all-day, all-year. The terrace combines street food, pizza, cocktails, craft beers, live music and other entertainment.
Swapping eat, drink, rave, repeat with eat, drink, terrace, late, the all-day roof terrace offers panoramic views of North London, alongside three other key areas; The Stables, The Club Room and The Bird Cage.
Whether you’re the one whose still in the club when the lights go on, or if you’re more of the sneak home and crawl into bed for some ITV player, there’s something for everyone, with boogying or bingo on the cards. The Stables have mini-pods, each with their own party theme, including ‘Cocktail Party’ (think retro 70s Abigail’s Party décor) and ‘After Party’ (complete with karaoke booth.) The Club Room will host DJs, parties and weekly club nights, including the ‘El Loco’ party, which is an indoor carnival – who needs Rio?
If you’ve lived up to ABBA’s Dancing Queen the night before and are in desperate need of a refuel, you can find a three course sit down dinner and drinks experience at The Birdcage. This will be FEST’s main restaurant and cabaret room, featuring cabaret performance, from burlesque to drag.
