In the age of social media, the opportunity to grab a photo of anything iconic is sure to boost the ‘ol likes, and give us that physiological high – yep, you actually get a squirt of dopamine when you get a positive response on social! Suffice to say, if you love a view, and snapping a photo of one, you’ll love B&H Garden Room (Bourne & Hollingsworth, not Benson & Hedges, as one nameless Handbook employee thought!); a space that combines coveted interiors with seasonal food (and outrageously must-see views of the city). We’re eager to visit, as should you be.
The brand-spanking new Bourne & Hollingsworth restaurant and bar sparks #viewgoals with the London Eye, The Shard and Nelson’s Column just across the way. There will be seating for 100 guests who, we’re sure, will be wrestling to get the best bird’s eye view and sunsets that (okay, might not rival Tanah Lot Temple but) will be akin to the end of The Apprentice after someone gets fired.
The space hopes to be diverse in function, as an area for lunchtime meetings, lazy suppers, after-work cocktails and special dinner dates. You’ll feast on rows of sharing plates with despite your “we’ll just go for one” drink protestations, or go all-in for a three-course feast. For a slice of private time however there’s an exclusive dining room that holds twenty-two people. Laden with foliage and flowers, the ‘outdoors-in’ style haunt will have you snapping photos in their shed loads.
Garden Room will open on Friday, 23rd November, on the 10th floor, above Assembly Hotel, 31 Charing Cross Road, Covent Garden, WC2H 0LS. www.bandhgardenroom.com
