A beaver lands in Chelsea

When we heard that Chelsea was about to welcome a Beaver Lodge, a few things ran through our mind, lastly that it might be a new mountain cabin themed bar and dance saloon. Well it is, and once we had stopped flapping about innuendos, the online cowboy hat shopping began.

Already tipped to be the next hot Sloanes hang out, the 7th venue from The Inception Group will boast all the homeliness of North American mountain retreats. Think cowhide, furs and a toasty wood burning stove plus the odd grizzly bear, moose heads for company and, of course, the ever important beavers.

The first sighting of a wild beaver in Britain for 500 years has just taken place and it looks like these furry little, buck toothed chums are making a comeback in a big way. Leaving Chelsea behind, Beaver Lodge will be blaring out classic Americana and rock ‘n’ roll before the DJ heads to the horse and wagon booth to play into the early hours of the morning.

Keeping the honorary cowboys and cowgirls inhibition free will be some good ole’ American liquor including boilermakers, hardshakes and single serves from Beaver Lodge’s Bulleit Bourbon bar – we aren’t 100% what they are either, we just know we should definitely be drinking them. What we do know is cocktails, so make sure to nab yourself the signature Grinning Beaver cocktail served in a beaver shaped vessel, what else?

We love a theme and Beaver Lodge completes the look with Daisy Duke ladies and Huckleberry lads serving the drinks throughout the night under the supervision of the Sheriff. Watch out for them though as they have been known to regularly break into choreographed line dancing which bystanders may find themselves inexplicably drawn to, so bea-very careful.

Currently in its soft launch it officially opens to the public 12thDecember.
