Think of the City and you don’t think of sunshine and vibrancy, you think of suits and grabbing a Pret for lunch to be shoved down in the five minutes between meetings. Fun. We can’t stop your phone calls and we can’t stop your email alerts, but we can tell you what to eat for lunch, whether you have five minutes to grab it or need to have it delivered straight to your desk – Ahi Poké.
Friends, Jeremy Coste, Gabriel Cohen-Elia and David Bellaiche are opening their third site this month (you’ll find the other two in Soho and Victoria) and it’ll bring their signature feel-good bowls to the City. The short menu revolves around sustainably sourced fish and vibrant, fresh vegetables. Bowls include a more traditional Hawaiian ‘Oahu’ with Ahi tuna, red onion, radish, carrot, fried onion and coriander on brown rice; the Venice which captures the sunshine of LA’s Venice Beach with the likes of kale, quinoa, shrimp and ginger. Or create your own, be your own boss (even if it is just at lunch time) and make up a bowl, you’ll find everything from kimchee cucumber to coconut sweet potato.
Designed by Gundry + Ducker, the space will feature Ahi Poké’s clean, neutral palette with green tones, wood and bold, bright wall murals.
They want to bring a little bit of laid-back LA to the City and how better to start than with food?
Ahi Poké: Opens Late November, 2017, 14-16 Bloomberg Arcade, EC4N 8AR, www.ahipoke.co.uk
