Everyone loves going for a drink with their best friend, but do you ever go for a drink with your actual best friend? We aren’t talking about your best friend from school, nor the person who props you up on nights out and makes sure you get home in one piece (it’s obvious you’ve been for drinks with them); no, we’re talking about the ones that love you unconditionally, the ones that are always happy to see you, the ones with four legs… your dog. Have you ever been for a drink with your dog?
Most likely not, but that could all change as a dog bar is set to open in Chelsea on Friday. Opening outside The Pet Pavillion, the Pawsecco Bar, will be London’s first dedicated dog bar. Your dog won’t be drinking actual alcoholic, instead Pawsecco is non-alcoholic, non-carbonated and grape free and is made from elderflower, nettle, ginseng and limeflower – sounds pretty tasty to us. There’ll also be Doggy ‘Bottom Sniffer’ Beer (which doesn’t sound quite so appealing for us two legged beings), whilst to eat they’ll have Doggy Gelato and canapes provided by The Rockster incluing super bone broth, bio-organic chicken and turkey and a Sunday roast of grass-fed lamb, très fancy.
We would make some reference to hair of the dog – but no dog wants to drink its own hair…
The bar will be open after work on Friday and then all day Saturday and Sunday until September.
