The arrival today of new cocktail bar and members club, Bitter Sweet, in Kingly Court signals a fresh approach to a night out in Soho. Previously the iconic Kingly Club and before that the Pinstripe Club, the venue has played host to glamorous clientele, from Carey Grant to Audrey Hepburn.

Bitter Sweet comes from the team behind award winning London cocktail bar Dirty Martini and its bespoke cocktail menu includes an exciting range of both bitter and sweet cocktails, as well as an extensive range of signature cocktails. Bitter Sweet is part of the CG Restaurants which also operates Fire & Stone restaurants in Covent Garden, Westfield and Spitalfields, Tuttons in Covent Garden and Dirty Martini bars in Covent Garden and Hanover Square.

Open throughout the week, it’s the perfect place for after work drinks and with a guest list and pre-bookable areas available, it’s an ideal venue for birthdays and celebrations.

What’s more, there’s an extensive happy hour from Monday – Sunday (Monday to Thursday: 5pm till 10pm, Friday to Saturday: 5pm till 8pm, Sunday 5pm till 10pm) which means half price Bitter Sweet cocktails, Signature Cocktails and bottles of wine and also £10 off bottles of Champagne.

Says manager Matthew Quick: “Bitter Sweet is an exciting development for us. To reinvent such an iconic venue in Carnaby Street is an incredible opportunity. We’re offering customers a fun and glamorous night out in intimate surroundings with an impressive cocktail list – Bitter Sweet is guaranteed to become the must-visit bar in Soho.”
