The new East Asian BBQ restaurant and Anju bar opening next month on Greek Street in Soho is the brainchild of Jan Lee (Roka) who grew up in his parents' restaurants on the Scottish borders and whose inspiration stems from his Chinese heritage, British upbringing and extensive travels.

The menu at the 50 cover restaurant places emphasis on smoked cooking methods, alongside more traditional sweet and pickled influences. Using British seasonal produce, signature meat dishes will include Smoked Bobo chicken with sriracha, lime and herbs and eel dumpling, with Sichuan peppercorns and chilli oil. Seafood dishes feature Loch Ryan oysters with apple and kimchi mignonette and Fatty tuna bowl with avocado, jalapeno remoulade and rice.

Veggies will enjoy Spicy buckwheat noodles, cucumber, Korean pear, dashi and egg and Grilled corn cob with cotija cheese, cayenne pepper and lime. Desserts include ice cream with maple cream cheese and Plum soji and persimmon sorbet.

The intimate bar area will serve a concise wine and cocktail list and traditional rice spirit, Korean Soju and as for the décor, just like the food, it bridges East Asian and European influences with red brick walls and exposed brick beams alongside ceramic lighting and an oak bar.
