Forget those ‘golden arches’, SW3 has just acquired an altogether superior burger joint with the opening of BRGR.CO on King’s Road this week where a dedicated team of Brgrologists, Lettuce Analysts and Grill Sergeants are already hard at work.
Hand-made each morning using the best cuts of 28-day-aged beef from the very posh Duke of Buccleuch Estate in South West Scotland, burger snobs can bite into three classic choices: 4oz, 6oz and 8oz – served deconstructed allowing them to build the burgers as they so desire with side orders featuring Parmesan truffle fries (just don’t call them chips), made with Parmigiano Reggiano, Chilli con carne, Vegetable crisps, Keens vintage cheddar and malt tarragon aioli.
Shake things up with oreo and vanilla bean milkshakes or drink homemade lemonade, boozy iced teas and cocktail specials such as the Tweeters Tipple and Smoky Jack. Exclusive to the new restaurant which started life in Soho, will be a BRGRLICIOUS afternoon tea (this is Chelsea after all folks) and a brunch menu too set to launch in early 2015.
You’ll find no primary brights here either, just tonal earthy hues with tables and chairs in dark oak and an outdoor terrace seating area at which to see and be seen. BRGR.CO’s signature character cow head artworks, each of which has been created by local artists, are also on display throughout the restaurant. The range will change seasonally and if you fancy buying one(?) you can do so in a charity auction with proceeds going to local London charities.
