In the 90s, COMO Metropolitan London was home to the iconic nightspot, The Met Bar. Now, because bars are out and restaurants are in as we are a city of foodies, the space has been transformed into Gridiron by COMO, a modern live-fire grill restaurant from British chefs Richard H. Turner and Colin McSherry.

Paying homage to the ancient art of grilling and the fact that we all have a fascination with fire, the modern British menu will include the likes of: wood roast scallops with bone marrow XO; smoked eel with braised shin of highland beef; Ash baked turnip mimosa and roast red mullet with Gentleman’s Relish, penny buns and sorrel. Max and Noel Venning of Dalston favourite, Three Sheets, have recreated classic cocktails such as the Bloody Mary made with vodka, mustard, butter stock and tomato and the Old Fashioned made with Pandan, Woodford Reserve and clear milk. Fancy. If wine is your thing then you’ll find a wine list curated by Fiona Beckett which focuses on big flavoured new world wines and French and European classics.  Sommelier Lucy Ward, (formerly Noble Rot and Dinner by Heston) has also created a special ‘Under the Counter’ section.

Featuring an open kitchen and long, marble countertop the restaurant will seat 62 and has been designed by Macaulay Sinclair. Dark woods, marble, green and red leather finishes have been used to create a modern, relaxed brasserie feel while elegant antique black and white etchings of food and gridiron tools adorn the walls.
