When it comes to brunch, we have to hand it to our Australian friends, they have it sorted. You know that saying brunch is to Australia, what tea is to England, may have used some artistic license there. Anyway, boutique brand, The Dayrooms are launching The Dayrooms Café next month and it’s going to be a Melbourne inspired brunch and coffee specialist.
Created by Head Chef, Andrei Anechitei, the all – day menu is largely healthy, but as life is all about balance there will be a few more indulgent options too, so expect to find the likes of bagel royale with green hollandaise, poached eggs, flaked smoked salmon and beetroot puree on a bagel; baja prawn corn tacos with prawns, slaw, avocado, pineapple salsa, lime crème fraiche and jalapeno sauce; crunchy coconut Bircher muesli; croissants loaded with truffle scrambled egg, and honeycomb hotcake with raspberry crème fraiche and miso caramel. Coffee will come from the Ozone Coffee Roasters, there’ll be blended juices, smoothies and milkshakes including the Super C smoothie made from raspberry, orange, soy, banana and green tea, or if you need something stronger there is a succinct wine list and a handful of Australian craft beers and ciders.
Founded by Zumrud Mammadova, The Dayrooms Café already has its sights set on the rest of London with several sites opening later this year, with one opening in Holborn at the end of the summer.
