Yes you did read correctly. The hipster mini chain is launching at Knightsbridge’s Harvey Nichols this week. Today in fact. On the Fifth Floor. Form an orderly queue and no mauling with your Valentino Rock Studs please.
Located next to the Fifth Floor Café, Foodmarket and new Wine Shop – so it’s easily accessible via the escalators and express lifts from the ground level – the new Burger & Lobster is the perfect pit stop for hungry shoppers. Lobster cages mark the entrance, while the interior features the restaurant’s signature wood-panelling and red leather seating.
Diners will be able to order from that trademark signature menu featuring just three items: puwhole live 1.5lb lobster from Nova Scotia or Maine, streamed or grilled and served with clarified garlic butter, Lobster rolls served in a brioche bun with Japanese mayonnaise or a 10oz handmade burger in a brioche bun. All come with chips and salad and are all priced at £20.
But if you’re looking for a lighter option, as a concession to the whippet thin postcode, you can also order a Californian Burger – served in between two iceberg lettuce leaves. Expect cocktails, crustaceans and more.
Burger & Lobster was launched in Mayfair in late 2011 by the team behind Goodman Restaurant Group. This is the fifth London restaurant, adding to the portfolio of venues in Mayfair, Soho, Farringdon and the City.
