With high rise City neighbours like the Gherkin and the Cheesegrater, Jason Atherton’s new City Social is keeping good foodie company.

Located on the 24th floor of the towering Tower 42 in the City, diners will have a great view of the London skyline when it opens next month with head chef Paul Walsh (Royal Hospital Road) working his magic on British ingredients.

Interiors will be a contemporary take on art deco with rosewood panelling, smoked glass and a free standing, black and steel open kitchen in the centre of the dining room. Cocktails too, short serves mixed by Gareth Evans, (head barman at Atherton’s The Blind Pig – above his Social Eating House) all hail from the age of art deco having been inspired by the prohibition era.

Following Pollen Street Social, Social Eating House, Little Social and the recently opened Berners Tavern within The London Edition Hotel, City Social is number five in the Atherton empire.
