Calling all fans of New York’s famous Katz deli. Delancey&Co, a brand new salt beef and smoked salmon bar is coming to London’s Goodge Street in the not too distant. And not a moment too soon as west Londoners were getting a might bored with trekking to Brick Lane whenever they felt a bagel craving.

Brains behind the new outfit is Daniel Moosah, who was taught to cook in NYC by his Jewish granny. Eat in or take away, we’re talking piled-high salt beef sandwiches, smoked salmon bagels and more in a modern diner-style interior with marble counters with pop art and themed imagery on the walls.

From behind the self-service bar, carvers will pile up warm, melting salt beef on rye with lashings of mustard, or stack hand-carved smoked salmon on bagels made by a proper traditional Jewish baker.

There will also be six different types of cream cheese, including pink horseradish and cracked black pepper and chilli, Reuben sandwiches, cholla rolls, sweet and sour gherkins and chicken soup,  American beers and prosecco on tap.
