The Diner Islington Reopens

Openings
By Emily Gray | 4th April 2017

You might have noticed that The Diner Islington hasn’t been looking like it’s normal self recently, it’s been undergoing an eight- week makeover, but now it’s ready to reveal itself to the wide world…well Islington anyway.

It’s said to be edgier than before, think of it as a mix between Rebel Without a Cause and Pulp Fiction. It’s going to be serving up all day breakfasts, burgers, shakes, craft beers and Bloody Mary’s – basically everything you need to either induce or cure a hangover.

If you’re into your hard shakes then you’re in luck, they’ve got plenty of them. Winners are said to be The Kraken made from Kraken rum, banana ice cream, maple syrup and malt and The Colonel Parker made from Evan Williams bourbon, vanilla ice cream and peanut butter. Whilst new dishes include classic meatloaf, fried chicken buckets for two (although you could just go wild and order it for one…) and the cheesiest mac and cheese, which you can have with bacon if you want to go all out. And we always want to go all out.

The Diner Islington: Opens 6th April 2017, 21 Essex Road, Islington, N1 2SA, www.goodlifediner.com
