If you were a discerning gentleman or lady about town in the 60s and you were up for a night of debauchery, hedonism and perhaps a little scandal, then you’d have headed to The Pinstripe Club – but now the infamous 60s haunt has been sold and in its place, opens a new Soho members’ bar: Disrepute.
The team behind it are the guys from Sovereign Loss (Chris Dennis and Joe St Clair-Ford) and the Barrio family (Ferdie Ahmed and Ani Kyriacou) so embracing London’s current cocktail culture is going to be the order of the day. The drinks menu will be expertly curated, featuring a luxurious collections of spirits – it’s the sort of place where you can sink into a corner and set the world to rights.
Housed in a basement and hidden between Carnaby Street and Beak Street, it’s all wood-panelled walls and vaulted ceilings with space for 100. You don’t have to be a member to head there but if you do then you’ll be in for exclusive privileges and great benefits. Oh, and for those in the know it’s referred to as D.R.P – there you go, you’re now in the know.
Disrepute: Opens 15th December, 4 Kingly Street, London W1B 5PW www.disrepute.co.uk
