It’s unlikely you’ve ever been to a pharmacy for fun, (we say unlikely because we’re not going to judge), no your usual trips probably involve prescriptions and mystery rashes. That was until now.
Five years ago, a bar opened up in Earls Court masquerading as detective agency, those in the know, knew that to gain access they just had to explain their case to the detective, well now Evans & Peel are dabbling in pharmaceuticals as the Evans & Peel Pharmacy opens in Chiswick.
Upon entering the 1920’s pharmacy, you’ll meet the legendary pharmacist, before making your way to the bar. If you’re lucky you’ll know the password and will be taken straight there, as the windows simultaneously black out to preserve its secret identity. It really is top secret, admittedly we have ruined that secret for you now…
The bar itself is intimate, low lit, secluded and styled with vintage furniture, antique surgical equipment and hidden drawers that will hold new secrets each time guests visit. To drink there’ll be variations of the classic Old Fashioned, vintage whiskies, wines, Champagnes and pharmacy inspired creations, Gaviscon martini* anyone? To eat, you’ll find old-school American classics, we know we’ll be ordering the grilled cheese sandwiches, they arrive in a cigar box with smoke seeping out of the side – how could we not?
*Clearly not actually on the cocktail list.
From 21st – 27th August anyone who makes a reservation and follows the Evans & Peel Pharmacy Facebook and follows @evansandpeel Instagram will receive 30% off their total bill within a 90 minute appointment. Guests can get 50% off at the Pharmacy if they visit the Evans & Peel Detective Agency and ask for the Penicillin prescription from the Detective.
