If you’ve been to Park Lane recently then you’ll have seen that The Athenaeum is undergoing a bit of a refurbishment, well more than a bit, a multi-million pound refurbishment and at its heart will be the next offering from the Galvin brothers, Chris and Jeff – Galvin at The Athenaeum.
Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea and room service the restaurant will be serving up classic British dishes. You’ll find Galvin smoked salmon, steak tartare, dressed Portland crab with Hampshire watercress and rye bread and Woodhall Cumbrian air dried ham and Charentais melon.
Heading up the main courses will be the likes of belly of Dingley Dell pork, Mr Brown’s black pudding, apple and hazelnut salad; grilled Herdwick Barnsley lamb chop aubergine and mint hollandaise and toasted crisp sourdough, English peas, avocado, lemon and fresh ricotta. For pudding there’ll be summer raspberry trifle and a vanilla, lemon and black currant ice cream.
Continuing their partnership with renowned Italian bartender Giancarlo Mancino, the Garden Room will now become The Bar with a new look and feel. Mancino will be creating an extensive range of new, innovative cocktails as well as twists on classics.
The countdown starts now…Book us in now.
