Generator is a new generation of inexpensive and stylish hostel with locations already in European cities from Barcelona and Berlin to Copenhagen and Venice and stands at the fastest growing hostel group in Europe.
Launching today is Generator London, in a former police station, located in an antique mews in Tavistock Place which has retained many original features and signage. Starting at £10 per night, rooms range from female only dorms to en-suites with free bed-linen and towels a given.
Cutting edge design comes courtesy of Anwar Mekhayech from The Design Agency and the look of each property is individual to its location with social spaces and music key to the Generator philosophy. Think W on a budget.
Generator Berlin boasts artwork by Berlin Wall street artist Thierry Noir, Copenhagen is a former Philippe Starch residential development, Dublin was once an Irish folk-dancing hall connected to the famous Jameson distillery and Venice is set in an old grain warehouse just across the water from St Mark’s Square.
Upcoming locations in Rome and Paris are scheduled for 2015 – the latter boasting a café lounge and nightclub bar.
