A taste of the Middle East is coming to The Grosvenor, in the form of Dubai restaurant, Rüya, which will be heading overseas for the first time.
Said to be opening on the site of an empty bank building which is adjacent to Corrigan Mayfair, the 100-cover restaurant will have its own entrance and will specialise in dishes from Anatolia.
Whilst the menu is yet to be confirmed, we’re expecting to see the likes of spiced black cod with ezme, avocado haydari and crispy sujuk; lahmacun, a dish of spicy lamb vegetables and herbs and 24-hour slow cooked short rib with Turkish chilli BBQ glaze and spiced Konya chick pea puree, well if the Dubai menu is anything to go by.
Again, the full team hasn’t been revealed but we do know that Colin Clague (formerly executive chef of Zuma London and Dubai, opening head chef of Jason Atherton’s Pollen in Singapore and executive chef of Caprice holdings) will be the chef-patron.
