Halloween in London continued

Carrying on with London’s top Halloween events, today it is the turn of the most haunting parties, whether you want to party with twisted circus performers at Morton’s Club or take on dead disco icons over in Soho here are some of the best around. Of course celebrating Halloween wouldn’t be right without some ghoulish food, think feasts over at Bunga Bunga and afternoon teas with an eerie spin at The Ampersand Hotel.

Parties

Clissold House

Stating that those attending need a strong disposition, the faint hearted need not apply; the hauntingly old and imposing Clissold House is throwing a good old party. With Beyond Retro vouchers for the most witchingly dressed, cocktails, Halloween games and a horror cinema. 1st November www.hackneyvenues.com

DISCO

With a dress code of disco divas from yester year, Disco in Soho is going to be overrun with a dancehall of dead disco divas and groovers. Since it is Halloween, expect to see some Thriller style dead zombies, ghouls and  Michael Jackson look a likes taking to the dancefloor. 31st October www.disco-london.com

Dukebox

Halloween will be coming to the Fulham Road as Dukebox will be transforming into the Twisted Toy Box. With blood shots on arrival and a set from DJ Ollie Twist, we say grab your friends, dig out those costumes and dance through the night at Dukebox. 2nd November www.dukebox.uk.com

Kensington Roof Gardens

High above the dark and haunted streets of London, Kensington Roof Garden are hosting their annual Halloween Party once more. With live music from FosseyTango and some truly gruesome sounding but delicious tasting cocktails, ‘Blood clot and Sand’ anyone? The night is set to be spooktacular  (excuse the pun we just couldn’t help ourselves). 2nd November www.virginlimitededition.com

Morton's

Roll up roll up, the Twisted Circus is coming to Berkeley Square this Halloween to take over the whole of Morton’s Club. Think outrageous performers, circus animals, flame throwers, absinthe bars and DJs, taking over the club as the four floors of the club are converted into Mayfair’s most haunted house with The Graveyard, The Tunnel of Horrors, The Big Top and The Fluoro Hall of Mirrors. It’s going to be fang-tastic, there we go with the puns again… 31st October For more information please contact Adam Frewer AFrewer@MortonsClub.com

Pacha

Pure Pacha will be teaming up with Cafe Mambo Ibiza this Halloween to host a unique Balearic-style Halloween party. Combining the colour and freedom of Pacha with the vibrancy of the party island, this one is not to be missed if you prefer beaches and sunsets to witches and devils.26th October  www.pachalondon.com

Primo Bar

If you've been to the London Dungeons, you'll know what scary means. Well, the London Dungeons have created two bespoke cocktails for Halloween at Primo Bar, 'Miss Lovett' and 'The Torturer', along with an evening of live music and entertainment. Make-up artists will also be on hand for eerie makeup tips and then take to the haunted Halloween photobooth where you can capture your look.  31st October www.primobar.co.uk

The Happenstance

Want to portray your inner demon, want to don a witch’s hat or paint your face in a ghoulish white? Then the Happenstance is the place to go, as they are saying dress code is not optional, and you won’t want to not dress up because alongside the deliciously twisted three course meal that they will be serving up,  at midnight they will be handing out £200 worth of vouchers to the best dressed.  31st October www.thehappenstancebar.co.uk

The Tattershall Castle

So Tattershall Castle may be a boat rather than an actual castle, and it may not have turrets and secret passages but that isn’t stopping it celebrating Halloween. But sorry men this is event isn’t for you as Tattershall Castle are hosting a ladies Halloween Cabaret night. Get dressed up, watch the cabaret show get a cheeky snap with your favourite dancer and then knock back a couple of blood and slime shots! 31st October www.thetattershallcastle.co.uk

Food

B-Soho

Doing what they do best, B-Soho have come up with a Halloween style pizza, but forget anything scary or suspicious, this is a rather wonderful sounding, pumpkin and goats cheese pizza. Don’t worry though if that sounds rather tame they will also be serving up a Blood Sucker Surprise cocktail! 31st October www.b-soho.co.uk

Bunga Bunga

Apparently Italians don’t tend to celebrate Halloween, but Uncle Berlosconi never being one to obey rules is celebrating it anyway.  Bunga Bunga will be throwing a Feast of The Dead in the lead up to the Italian take on The Day of The Dead – “Tutti I Morti”.  Expect a gluttony of food, euro pop, a Halloween-a-oke competition and a lot of fake tan and tight bright clothes as the dress code is ghosts and ghouls,  Dontella Versace style. 31st October  www.bungabunga-london.com

Chino Latino

Chino Latino London will be embracing its South American roots with a 'Dia de los Muertos' ('Day of the Dead) themed Halloween menu; showcasing new fusion flavours, including hamachi tacquitos and juicy picanha steak. Whilst the special tasting menu, will combine Chino Latino signature dishes with Halloween specials and a cocktail on arrival. 31st October – 3rd November www.chinolatino.eu/london

Corinthia

Forget the tricks this is all about the treats, as the Corinthia’s traditional afternoon tea undergoes a suitably terrifying transformation.  Forget scones and jam and dare yourself to try The Poisonous Mushroom, The Spiders Tart of pumpkin custard or the Bat Battenberg, which we think sounds more adorable than frightening! 26th – 31st October www.corinthia.com

London Hilton Park Lane

The second of the Halloween afternoon teas can be found over in the Podium Restaurant at the London Hilton Park Lane Guests who are brave enough can dig into creepy cupcakes, chilling chocolates and supernatural scones. Available 31st October – 10th November. www.hilton.co.uk/londonparklane

The Ampersand

The magic number 3 of the Halloween afternoon teas comes from the Ampersand Hotel, as they have introduced a brand new tea especially for the occasion. Accompanying the usual tartines, are a green apple jelly skull, vanilla eyeball mousse and bloodied chocolate tonka cupcake. Gore has never sounded so tasty. 26th October – 3rd November www.ampersandhotel.com
