Associated with the flamboyant Henry VIII, who we’re sure knew how to throw a party or two and definitely knew enough about weddings (successful or not) is the historic palace, Hampton Court Palace.
Sitting on the edge of the Thames it makes for the most majestic and elegant wedding venue. There are cobbled courtyards, grand staircases and beautiful grounds; we’re talking 60 acres of garden and over 700 acres of historic park, that’s what happens when you go slightly out of London – space and lots of it! And it just so happens that this weekend it’s hosting its wedding fair, set in the Garden Room, which is ideal really.
Taking place on Sunday 19th, guests will be able to walk around the palace and grounds, and get a chance to meet their suppliers from caterers to photo booth companies. Just some of the suppliers attending include Ampersand Caterers, Buds and Blooms, Designer Cakes by Elle and Simon Pope Photography.
If you needed another reason, besides the beautiful baroque and Tudor architecture and the stunning grounds, then they’ve also been nominated for the 2014 Perfect Wedding Awards, and if they make the wedding connoisseurs cut then you know they’re on to something.
