Gordon Ramsay, a veritable institution in the culinary (and celebrity) world, adds yet another refined restaurant to his luxury portfolio. Heddon Street Kitchen is inspired by its City sister, Bread Street Kitchen, but boasts its very own premier location, in the heart of Regent Street’s Food Quarter. Set across two floors, its glamorous interior closely resembles the classy industrial chic of Bread Street Kitchen, but with more gorgeous golden hues; making it appear aglow with a warming Instagram filter.
Their simple yet sophisticated décor perfectly reflects their desired ‘cool and casual’ vibe. They are open all day and welcome drop-ins; though maybe a good idea to book for those special occasion dinners. Smack dab in the middle of one of the busiest shopping destinations in London, it caters to locals, shoppers, workers and tourists alike. Providing a relaxed, laid back atmosphere in which to enjoy just about everything – from a brisk breakfast or a lazy lunch, right through to late-night dinners and after-work cocktails – which is no mean feat amidst the bustling chaos of the West End.
We’re most excited about the ice cream bar that’ll be serving up alcoholic ice cream cocktails (the dream) alongside old school favourites that promise to satiate even our most demanding inner child. And for the more mature at heart (/when we’re feeling a bit more grown-up) there’s an interactive wine-tasting counter where you are invited to try wines by the glass and partake in engaging tastings and food pairings – very fancy!
Other exciting features include: an open-kitchen where Head Chef Maria Tampakis (formerly of Bread Street Kitchen and the three Michelin-starred Jean-Georges in NYC) will be working her magic, cooking up modern European fare; a raw bar; a pizza oven and a super plush private room. There’s even an outdoor terrace, perfect for dining al fresco, or (our favourite pastime) people watching.
Certain to be delivering the same high-quality dishes that can be found in any and all of Gordon Ramsay’s establishments, Heddon Street Kitchen is a very welcome addition to the West End dining scene that we really can’t wait for. You’ll find us at the ice cream bar.
Heddon Street Kitchen officially opens on 8th November, but you can book a table online now.
