Hot Pink is a brand new independent restaurant just launched in Wimbledon and offering healthy grilled food in contemporary surroundings. It is founded by three friends Dipak Panchal (who founded Chelsea hotspot The Valmont Club, and co-founded Dukebox nightclub and The Black Dog pub in Vauxhall which he co-founded with Sulkin), Vincent McKevitt (founder of Tossed) and Cokey Sulkin (co-founder Aragon House).

The concept is simple: 12 menu items and 72 combinations. Diners can chooses prime cuts of meat, chicken, fish and vegetables, each cooked on an open grill and delivered at three price points – £8, £10 and £12. You then choose from 6 side dishes (fries, potato wedges, roasted veg, Caesar salad, Greek salad or brown rice & lentils) and from a range of sauces made freshly on site.

All fish served is sustainably sourced and all meat is Red Tractor approved. Options include Cumberland Sausage, Beef burger, Steak, Chicken Skewers, Half a Chicken, Fish Finger Roll, Salmon, Whole Sea Bass, Veggie Sausage, Falafel Burger, Halloumi and 7 vegetable stacker.

The dessert menu features Gluten Free Chocolate Brownies, Skinny Cheesecake (150 calories), Honeycomb Cheesecake and Hot Apple and Sultana Bake. There’s even Skinny Custard and fat free Frozen Yoghurt. For kids, the “Little Grillers” menu includes Fish Fingers and Chicken Strips with sides of Fries and Sweet Potato Wedges.

Décor is bright, contemporary and light-hearted incorporating rustic wood interiors and furniture, restored lighting and retro paraphernalia celebrating 20th century pop culture figures including Ferris Bueller & Bob Dylan. Diner style banquettes combine with relaxed table seating, and when it’s warm, there’s alfresco dining in the back garden.
