It’s Tuesday, still the start of the week, technically but it’s never too early to think about what you’re going to do this weekend, so let us make a suggestion – how about heading to the newly opened cocktail bar, Hyde.

Having opened opposite Kensington Palace the bar will be serving up cocktails from the award winning bartender and co-founder of The Cocktail Trading Co. Andy Mil. Drinks include the Mad Hatter: Bombay Saphhier, Hyde ginger brew and lemon juice served in a smoking glass tea pot and the Shell Shock. Designed to share and served in a giant ceramic sea shell, the cocktail is made from Bacardi Negra, Bacardi Superior, pineapple juice and Hyde’s own caramel and coconut mix.

Food will come from Chef Adi Gunawan who will be serving up a pan-Asian menu with highlights including plum miso-marinated Chilean seabass and duck and watermelon salad with cashew nuts and Thai herbs.

When it comes to its look, the walls will be adorned with pieces of work by critically acclaimed British artist, JJ Adams, the trained tattoo artist’s last collection sold out almost immediately, so to have a bespoke collection for Hyde is pretty special. Booths, sofas and high seats will give way to a private room and dance floor at the back where you’ll be able to dance the night away into the small hours of the morning.

As we said, it might be Tuesday but that doesn’t mean you can’t plan for the weekend!
