Authentic Spanish restaurant, Iberica is bringing al fresco style Spanish dining to augment its branch in Canary Wharf’s Cabot Square. The new outdoor venue opposite the main restaurant is perfectly timed to coincide with the first glimmers of summer. This marks the group’s third London venue after Marylebone’s Great Portland Street and the Canary Wharf mothership.
Iberica has also joined forces with Catalan designer Lazaro Rosa Violan of Contemporain Studios to create the new space with contemporary design, lighting and atmosphere to complement the food! Open from breakfast through to evening, we’re talking signature hot and cold Spanish tapas, traditional Iberico ham imported from carefully selected Spanish producers and Sangria cocktails in the sunshine.
Says Executive Chef, Nacho Manzano, who was awarded two Michelin Stars for his flagship restaurant in Northern Spain’s Asturias, “Iberica La Terraza will not be just a typical terrace outside a restaurant. This will be a totally separate space with its own kitchen and bar. We want it to be authentic like the terraces you find in Spain. You can indulge quietly in something as simple as a coffee and a newspaper of get together with friends, some cava and great tapas.”
Diners can choose from traditional tapas from Pinchos – creamed cheeses, sun blush tomatoes, rocket and basil – to Fried squid bocadillo – the traditional Spanish dish served in a sourdough baguette with alioli.
Iberica La Terraza operates a first come first served ‘no bookings’ policy but once you’ve got cracking on the signature Sangria with mint, cucumber and fresh fruit, the wait will fly by…
