Stephen Manderson (that’s Professor Green to you and me) is collaborating with cocktail supremo Gerry Calabrese next month to launch brand new club, INK in Leicester Square. Dubbed as an east end club in the heart of the west end (Leicester Square meets Hoxton Square), it will open a hardcore party monster 6pm to 3am seven days a week with music, food and drink all under one roof.
The Prof’s career has already spawned two top three albums and eight hit singles from ‘Read All About It’ to ‘Just Be Good To Green’ so with the Glasto main stage now another notch on his belt, the quality of the music is a given. And as for Calabrese’s cv – spanning Lab, Dust, Sex in the City and culminating with Hoxton Pony and even his own booze brand, Hoxton Gin – well, that pretty much seals the deal.
The venture, born from a love of tattoos, music and cocktails, brings together cult tattoo artists Nikole Lowe (London Ink, I Love Good Times) and Ibiza’s Neil Ahern (Inkadelic) whose artwork will be displayed on the walls of the fifth floor venue alongside graffiti murals and neon sculptures.
Cocktails take their cue from Calabrese’s Hoxton Pony and are created from his signature fresh, locally sourced ingredients in their homemade syrups while food comes in the shape of sharing platters and music will be a heady mix of rock and roll and urban.
There’s also a limited opening offer of £500 VIP memberships affording members and up to two guests free entry any night of the week and priority table bookings too so if you’re looking for a members club with bite, this could be the one for you…
