Savoy Street Party
The Savoy is hosting the Rolls Royce of street parties to mark the occasion on 3 June, noon to 3pm. The event will be held in the hotel’s famous ‘street’ Savoy Court with Champagne, a Diamond Jubilee Bombay Sapphire Punch fountain and classic British food and entertainment.
Tickets are £95pp and include Champagne on arrival, lunch, Jubilee cocktails and entertainment. Children's places are also available at £50.
Lunch fit for a Queen
The Terrace is partaking in the nationwide ‘Big Jubilee Lunch’ initiative. On 3 June, the restaurant will be decked out in red, white and blue balloons and bunting with fizz from the Pommery Champagne Bar and a ‘Diamond Jubilee’ cocktail. Enjoy Scottish oak smoked salmon or green pea soup followed by Steak and kidney pudd and Strawberry pavlova. The £19.52pp set price for a three course meal celebrates the year of the Queen’s ascension to the throne.
God Save the Clam
A punk inspired interpretation of the Clam Bake will take place at East London’s Émigré Studios Roof with barbecue king Tom Adam and seafood lover Carl Clarke from Rock Lobsta. Expect buckets of finger-licking clams, cockles, mussels and crab claws, a royally hot DJ line up, beach huts, sun deck and an ice cream bar. Tickets are £40 (in advance) and include a cocktail, starter, clam bake and ice cream. Marmite for tea
The Botanist on Sloane Square and teamed up with Marmite for a special Diamond Jubilee afternoon tea that’s fit for a Queen. There’ll be the expected savouries of assorted finger sandwiches (crusts off, natch), homemade cheddar, chive and Ma’amite scones, Marmite and cheese straws of course but don’t knock chocolate cake with Ma’amite caramel buttercream, Black Velvet cupcakes and Marmite and peanut butter brownies til you’ve tried ‘em. £18pp, til 10 June.
Celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee at King’s Road’s Juju with London Club and Bar Awards’ best DJ Sam Young. To mark this very royal occasion, Royal Corgis and Corgi-esses will be serving ‘Crown’ Cocktails and a Crown & Flag dress theme is strongly encouraged. It’s not obligatory, of course but there WILL be prizes for the most creative outfit! 3 June, 5pm to 4am.
The Capital Hotel flies the flag for GB
To a stunning backdrop of indigenous English flowers created by Hayford & Rhodes, the hotel’s restaurant will be serving up a Queen’s Jubilee Menu including Seared scallops, Fillet of lamb and Poached pear. And just so you know, these are the very same dishes enjoyed by HM on a royal visit to the hotel! 1-10 June, £60pp.
Altitude's Jubilee Flotilla
The tallest riverside building on the Thames is the perfect place to watch the Jubilee Pageant on 3 June and Altitude London is hosting a plethora of glamorous Jubilee events. There’s a Gospel brunch in the second floor River Room, a street party in the sky on the 28th floor complete with 360 degree views, the Ultimate Jubilee Hamper experience on the 29th floor with private booths and the Ultimate Diamond Jubilee experience in the 6th floor View Studios – the venue’s most exclusive viewing platform for the day.
