May Fair Kitchen and Monmouth Kitchen are set to get a sister restaurant in the form of the Leicester Square Kitchen, opening at the start of the next month and serving up a contemporary Mexican and Peruvian menu.
There’ll be a Mexican-inspired Mayan-spiced marinated chicken ensalada with cashews, black lime and sesame oil; prawn soft tacos with spicy papaya habanero salsa; robata-grilled pisco-glazed smoked paprika ribs and lime; robata-seared tenderstem broccoli and charred kale and shimeji mushroom anticucho served in a hot clay pot. Pudding will revolve around the likes of coconut, lime, guava and mango whilst on the cocktail front there’ll be an Aztec Negroni with Maestro Dobel Humito and bitters and a chilli and lychee margaritas with Ilegal Joven mezcal, Kwai Feh lychee liqueur, green chilli and lime.
With a smarter edge than its sisters, the interior will be monochrome, with: dark walls, a white, zinc topped bar, white calacarta marble tables, black ash and caramel leather La Espada butterfly chairs and smart black and white striped awnings covering black and white Kartell chairs.
