Now we don’t want to get anyone’s hopes but we’ve heard that this January like weather is soon to end and we’ll be back to normal spring temperatures – maybe don’t reach for your flip flops just yet, but it might be time to put away the winter coats. If of course this doesn’t happen, you can always get your summer fix by heading to May Fair Kitchen which is reopening next week after a short closure and is set to become a little slice of the Mediterranean.
Overseeing the refurbishment is Amir Jati (former head of private dining at Nobu) who also oversaw the relaunch of the May Fair Bar. They’ll be serving up modern small plates of Spanish and Italian cuisine alongside cocktails and wine. The walls have been done away with and replaced by floor to ceiling windows to give a relaxed, open feel to the space, because as it is on the Mediterranean it’s all about good food, good drinks and taking things slow. Marble and copper topped tables of different heights will be joined by two huge rustic feature tables and leather chairs ideal for sinking into. The dark lounge bar will be more of a moody, intimate space perfect for late night cocktails.
So weather, if you fancy getting warmer then please do, but either way you’ll find us at May Fair Kitchen.
