Roll up for the official launch of ME by Meliá’s flagship hotel, ME London, on 1st March. The design-led, lifestyle hotel in The Strand's Marconi House, former London HQ of BBC Radio, marks Foster + Partners’ first UK hotel project and the first for which they have designed all of the interiors and exteriors.

The property has 157 guest rooms, including 16 suites and ultra-luxurious Suite ME, a two-storey penthouse located in the turret of the building. All feature sumptuous bedding, bathrooms with rain showers straight out of a spa and paraben free APTIVITA amenities plus access to the hotel’s integrated digital media hub.

Exteriors are all about minimal detailing, simple, triangular oriel windows and a Portland stone façade while interiors fuse contemporary detailing and classic traditions, with a dramatic monochrome palette. Dining is located within the hotel including Radio roof top bar, offering a stunning panoramic view of the capital; the London outpost of New York’s STK steakhouse and grill; contemporary Italian Cucina Asellina and the all-day Marconi Lounge as well.

It’s named after Guglielmo Marconi, the inventor of the radio and serves fresh coffees, flavoured and herbal teas, juices, smoothies, handmade pastries, cookies and afternoon tea and a great cocktail list accompanied by complimentary magazines and daily international newspapers.

The hotel also boasts an on-site fitness centre complete with state-of-the-art Power Plates and which offers in room relaxation and spa treatments too. ME by Meliá is the ideal home from home for cultured, fashionable guests whose stay will be orchestrated by the dedicated Aura Manager, who knows the city back-to-front and room rates start from £340 p/n excluding VAT.
