Having previously been the site of Eighty-Six Restaurant and home to Zinnia, 86 Fulham Road has housed some pretty impressive restaurants and tomorrow another one will step up to the mark with the opening of Mimosa.

Part of the Elysium Group, this is the second Mimosa (the first being in Colchester) and with its laid back but luxurious setting, it makes for the perfect place for drinks, dinner or long, lazy weekend brunches. Inside you’ll find a mix of colours, textures, high and low seating and antique tables, it’s cosy yet relaxed, opulent but traditional.

The kitchen will be serving up modern British dishes using seasonal produce, dishes on the menu include, home-made pork and quail egg pie, lobster mac and crispy soft–shell crab. Whilst the wine list will include an extensive list of wines, beer and cocktails.

Fingers crossed the summer is actually here now, which means one thing: alfresco drinking. Just as well then that Mimosa has a terrace, which will no doubt be teeming  after work with those looking to toast the end of the day.
