A Royal Trio

Bluebird’s Big Lunch
Bluebird is hosting a Diamond Jubilee Big Lunch on the Courtyard at Bluebird – decked out in bunting and union jacks for the occasion with the all-day BBQ roaring away and an endless supply of Moet & Chandon Champagne and Pimm’s.
Raffles is celebrating 60 years of Queen Liz with a diamond Jubilee party that promised lashings of Pimms and Cucumber sandwiches in a party palace fit for a Queen. The club wags have even made up a little rhyme: ‘hey there queen gonna boogie in the garden. Boogie so loud, gonna need a royal pardon.’ 31 May.
Quaglino’s goes back in time
Taking inspiration from Quaglino’s 1953 Coronation menu, head chef Jean-Philippe Patruno has created a 2012 edition five-course tasting menu along with a complimentary gift of chocolates from Charbonnel & Walker – holder of the official Royal Warrant for its chocolate. 28 May – 30 June, £65pp.

The Lanesborough is hosting the mother of Jubilee Celebrations packages including wine and petits fours on arrival, a full English breakfast and a Jubilee afternoon tea that comes complete with a special commemorative gift. From £675, 2 – 4 June.
Royal purple at Langham London
The Langham London is collaborating with Asprey in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and pastry chef Cherish Finden has created a selection of irresistible treats, inspired by Asprey jewellery. Served in Palm court, expect lots of signature purple with blueberry and bilberry battenburg and more. Until October, £49pp.
Four Seasons Hotel Park Lane’s pastry chef Nicolas Durousseau has created an all English menu with finger sandwiches, scones and clotted cream, and cakes made from historical recipes spanning the Queen’s 60 year reign. The hotel has even commissioned a bespoke Diamond Jubilee Tea blend. May 28 – June 29
Chicken Ice Cream (yes really)
Gelupo’s Jacob Kenedy has dreamed up limited edition Coronation Chicken gelato. Also available as part of a frozen brioche sandwich, it sounds utterly disgusting but we’re still rather desperate to try it!
