It’s all happening at New Tom’s. Tom Conran’s 12 month Westbourne Grove pop-up on the site of the former Tom’s Deli, is now launching the evening Bar & Bistro, a cosy new dining area serving innovative dishes in a an intimate setting.

Head Chef Tom Straker who trained at the Dorchester and with Heston Blumenthal at Dinner, will source many ingredients from his family farm in Herefordshire and signature dishes include Fresh pea, broad bean, roast tomato and cavolo nero and Spiced hake with split beans, white peach and toasted almonds. Desserts feature Lemon curd, walnut and flamed meringue and Chocolate crack with salt caramel and mascarpone.

The bar team has curated a list of cocktails including Tommy’s Margarita (with Tom Conran’s own Chamucos tequila, fresh lime and agave syrup) and the Gojipolitan (goji-berry infused vodka, cranberry juice and triple sec) while bar snacks feature Bruschetta with smoked tomatoes, goats’ curd and olive oil and Crispy pork skin with caramelised apple and thyme salt.

The walls are lined with original pop art and guests will sit on mismatched wooden chairs beneath low-slung lightbulbs. Upstairs, the more informal bar area with its 1930s Parisian metro booth seating will be open for breakfast and lunch. Oh yes and there’s also a secret garden. It’s been inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s Jardin Majorelle in Morocco and features marble topped tables dotted amongst the foliage.
