London, prepare to wing it at at this incredible new co-working space cropping up in the city this summer. The Wing is a network of work and community spaces designed for women and us lucky Londoners are going to have a wing of our own come September. On a side note, Gents, we’re sorry but this probably isn’t one for you, as The Wing is a women’s only space that boasts a rich and intriguing history and some seriously sexy interiors! The members’ club comes at a perfect time seeing as Grace Belgravia recently closed its doors, and here’s why you need to grab yourself a slice of this new women’s only space…

So, what’s it all about?

Well, circa 19th century, in a very “Who Run The World? Girls” format, the women’s club movement was formed and by the 20th century a community had formed that helped the leading ladies provide each other with encouraging community at a time when they needed it most – Queen Bey would’ve been proud! Then, by the 1920’s, the movement had seeped across the country and working women met in groups like the Lady Flashers and Lady Millionaires. The club was formed as prominent women of color, including Ida B. Wells, founded them and, low and behold, enter The Wing, a space that has existed since 2016 to promote the work that has been done so far.

When does it open?

This September, eek, not long! You can apply now to be a part of the action.

What can we expect?

Gals, you can expect oh so much cool stuff inside. The co-working space is set snug inside a five-story townhouse positively brimming with amenities including a fitness room, tea room, sun terrace to catch those rays, cafe and plenty of pace to make magic happen. Co-working as never been more glam! The space is awash with calming pastel interiors, foliage, flowers, vibrant blasts of colour, Rubelli floral fabrics and Caitlin McGauley wallpaper. Basically imagine what it would look like if Oliver Bonas designed a co-working space and you’ve hit the nail on the head!

What are the perks?

Perks are available in abundance. Communal tables create serendipitous connections, with discussions being followed up by grabbing lunch at The Perch cafe or trading tips in the beauty room. The Wing is a space for friendships to be formed and stories shared, so if you love a good ol’ natter over a cuppa – and let’s face it, who doesn’t – then you should totally sign up.

What does membership include?

All sorts! The annual commitment includes showers with robes and slippers, a stacked calendar of events, bookable conference rooms, pump rooms, free drip coffee, beauty rooms with your fave products, super fast WiFi and so much more.

International Influence

The Wing London will be the first UK outpost, but the women’s space can be found in multiple other destinations across the US including W. Hollywood with its retro and Italian space, Boston with its panoramic views and many, many more. Plus, 2020 will see venues opening up in Toronto and Seattle!

Opening in summer, you can be a part of The Wing London’s magic by signing up here & you can download the app on the iOS app to keep your finger on the pulse of all the action!
