East London mini chain Rosa’s Thai Café which began life as a street food stall on Brick Lane is launching its first West London location in Chelsea’s Fulham Road so expect authentic, home-cooked Thai food from husband and wife team, Alex and Saiphin Moore plus a debut cocktail bar too.

The seasonally changing menu features must-tries such as Spicy Grilled Pork Neck Salad with a bittersweet Thai dressing; Red Curry with Palm Heart with a lemongrass marinade; Stir-fried Crispy Pork with Kra Prow – with galangal, mint and chilli; Minute Seared Tuna with fresh Thai herbs, capers, garlic and chilli, and Northern Thai Sausage with a kick of ginger, coriander, chilli and lettuce.

Never had a Thai cocktail? Well they sound just as good as the food menu. We’re all about the Thai Rum Coffee– Rosa’s version of an espresso martini made with Sam Song Rum, a shot of espresso coffee, Kahlúa and vanilla syrup or the Ginger & Pomelo Leaf Martini – homemade Pomelo leaf-infused gin or vodka shaken with fresh ginger, lychee juice, egg white and lemon bitters or even the Sweet Thai Basil Smash – basil-infused gin shaken with mandarin, lemon juices, sugar cane and egg white. Hmmm best try all of them eh?! Otherwise Rosa’s is the first place in the UK to serve Chang as a draft beer!

Interiors are best described as contemporary-meets-kitsch with slumber-back dining chairs, terrazzo-style flooring, chalked-up menu blackboards and traditional artwork specially commissioned from Thailand. Oh yes and they also do take away – just order online and swing by to pick it up. No they don’t deliver and no, the walk won’t kill you.
