Fresh from the most important day of the year (International Burger Day) we have another meaty announcement with the opening of Sackville’s, a grill burger restaurant located in the heart of Piccadilly. Think ‘cut meats & spirits’ and you’ll be on the right lines with the menu’s key ingredient being Truffle for Périgord.
The restaurant is located in a former tailors’ address with interiors and branding designed by award-winning design studio, B3 Designers, who have also masterminded the insides of Gymkhana, Lyle’s, Trishna and Lima Floral. The 56 cover restaurant consists of two floors, each floor with its own distinctive style inspired by the former tailors’ identity – sleek, sophisticated and understated luxury. Vegetarians might want to give this place a miss though as guests are greeted by a meat fridge ‘hanging display’ in which meats are hung on butcher hooks, allowing the restaurant to age meat on site.
With meat in mind, Head Chef Wayne Dixon (previously of Maze Grill) has created a menu of gourmet burgers made from the best prime cuts of beef like Wagyu, Kobi and Angus, from around the world mixed with the decadent black truffle oil which makes the buns blackish. The burgers are then complimented with a strong drinks menu offering signature cocktails, exquisite malt whiskies, champagne and fine wines from around the globe.
Sackville’s: Opens 16th July, 8A Sackville Street, Piccadilly, London W1S 3DF.
