Following on from the opening of Ice & Slice in Fulham, Shot is expanding its SW6 empire with the launch of Bistrò by Shot which launches today.
As the name suggests it’s French/Italian , seasonal, home-cooking with a twist. At lunch you’ll find dishes such as quail leg with orzo pasta and parmesan, whilst come the evening dishes such as cucumber cannelloni of Dorset Crab, avocado mousse and soy gel will be served or beef tartare and duck fat chips. To finish, as there is always room for pudding then you can get stuck into, pickled ginger panacotta with cardamom shortbread.
If you’re just up for something to snack on whilst you drink then you’re in luck as they have developed their sister bar’s (Shot Espresso) aperitivo concept in the form of small sharing plates such as charcuterie, fritto misto, and seasonal specials like oysters.
Come the morning and at the weekends there is an extensive breakfast and brunch menu featuring classic dishes such as eggs Benedict, French toast and corn fritters and smoothies that have been created in conjunction with local physiotherapy clinic, Beyond Health. So if you’re crawling in the morning after a night out you’ll want to order the Recovery: pear, banana, spinach, yoghurt, almond milk and walnuts or if you’re striding in after the gym then grab a Strong as an Ox, a zingy blend of Apple, Ginger, Mint and Berries.
Keeping things local they’ve also teamed up with Fulham wine shop, Vagabond for their wine list and Charlie Borthwick from Cue Design (a Parson Green interior design company) has been called in to create a light, airy 40-cover restaurant with bespoke tables and chairs and an outside terrace with a retractable roof. He’s gone for a ‘ home from home’ feel and with it serving up food all day it’s likely it will be our new home.

A bit of a cake connoisseur, Editor, Emily is constantly on the search for the best brownie London has to offer, a restaurant once even put them on the menu when they heard she was visiting… You’ll either find her on a night out or debriefing over brunch the next day with plenty of coffee and eggs.
