Following on from its soft launch Mayfair café Spring Workshop is now fully open; serving up good coffee and good deeds.
Spring Workshop isn’t your average café , it’s using its new position in the Mayfair area to do a little bit (well a lot) of good and engage the local community and encourage social mobility. Talented individuals will be offered employment and apprenticeships and any one, from any background can take up work experience. Even the profits and tips will go to charities that work on building social mobility. Alongside poet and community champion Karl Lokko, Spring Workshop will be hosting poetry nights, book clubs, literacy events and will provide coffee training for the homeless.
They’ll be open from breakfast through to the early evening and will offer both take-away and eat in options. For breakfast you’ll find French toast; egg dishes and porridge which you can wash down with freshly brewed Hej Coffee from Bermondsey. Come lunch time there’ll be sandwiches, seasonal salads, soups and toast with various toppings. Or drop in after work for platters of charcuterie and cheeses from Neal’s Yard with London craft beers and wines.
So go get a coffee, swing by for a sandwich or go to an event, you’ll be happy and you can feel smug knowing you’ve done your good deed for the day.

A bit of a cake connoisseur, Editor, Emily is constantly on the search for the best brownie London has to offer, a restaurant once even put them on the menu when they heard she was visiting… You’ll either find her on a night out or debriefing over brunch the next day with plenty of coffee and eggs.
