Take a North Indian communal eatery and mix it with a classic British chop house and you get Tandoor Chop House. Having just opened in Covent Garden, the restaurant will be using Indian spices and tandoor ovens with select prime cuts of meat and marinades.

On the menu, you’ll find signature tandoori masala chicken, beef boti, Amritsari lamb chops and tandoor masala pollock. Sides will include onion bhaji rings, Dexter ‘dripping’ keema naan, crispy okra and tandoor broccoli. For pudding, there’ll be sweet coal-roasted pineapple and their take on a crème brulée, a chai brulée.

Designed by Ennismore’s Design Studio, the restaurant will feature three brass tandoor ovens – the brass finish on the ovens are inspired by vintage Dabbas (a small polished brass Indian lunch boxes). Oak panelled walls are joined by scarlet leather banquettes, marble tables and mosaic floors with Indian-inspired patterns.
