The newly refurbished The Builder’s Arms in Kensington is now even bigger thanks to a new upstairs area complete with wraparound leather banquette seating and its very own bar. Pendant lighting, whitewashed eaves and exposed brickwork complete the loft style vive.
Downstairs, The Builder’s bar mosaic has been given a thorough polish and the wood-panelled walls freshened up with a slick of pale grey paint offsetting the navy pillars and the exposed brickwork fireplace. Candleholders, pink lampshades and red leather seating add a splash of colour to proceedings whilst glass chandeliers and over-sized mirrors give a feeling of space and light.
Alongside an international wine list and homemade soft drinks is a range of draught beer and cask ales including those from new London breweries such as Meantime and Camden Hells, old timers like Brains Craft Brewery and American bottles such as Goose Island Beer 312.
Food is all about modern classics and seasonal dishes such as Cider and Tarragon Battered Cod with Skin-on-Chips, Crushed Peas and Tartare or Sausages and Beer Mustard Mash with Onion Rings and Gravy while bar snacks feature Gloucester Old Spot Sausage Rolls and Salt and Pepper Squid
On Saturdays, there’s a burger-dedicated menu with toppings from Pulled Pork to Dolcelatte and finally good old fashioned Sunday roasts with all the trimmings to round off the weekend.
