London is getting a new members’ club at the swanky Café Royal and The Club at Café Royal does exactly what it says on the tin. Set on the venue’s first floor, it will house a variety of entertaining and dining spaces where members are encouraged to pursue their vocations, using the space both to work and to socialise amidst interiors that blend English and French design and feature bespoke rugs and plush velvet furnishings.
There’s to be all day dining from a kitchen overseen by executive Chef Andrew Turner, its output spread across modern British fining dining restaurant, The Domino Dining Room and The Gallery serving light lunches. Imbibe classic cocktails at The Library Bar whilst The Studio overlooking Regent Street will be a lounge and hub for cultural events. In addition, the Oscar Wilde Bar, formerly known as The Grill Room, will be available to Club members until 3am with live entertainment thrown in.
A curated programme of events will range from boutique opera, cutting-edge musical performances, and immersive theatre to controversial debate and inspiring lectures as well. We certainly expect it to give those male bastions of nearby Pall Mall and St James’ a run for their money!
